Dear WLC Members,
We are partnering with Glencoe Youth Services and they need volunteers. This is a good chance to get out of the house on a dreary February morning! Please read this note from GYS Director Michelle Rosenthal:
Glencoe Youth Services is hosting a Morning of Service/Lunches of Hope workshop Saturday, Feb. 4th at the GYS Field House. We are so appreciative of the WLC in sponsoring the lunch making table but would love for any members who are free that morning to join us either in running the table or participating in the other service opportunities offered.
This workshop will host service stations including lunch making for Connections of the Homeless, seed sorting for Friends of the Green Bay Trail, making cat toys for CARE animal shelter, creating valentines for seniors, organizing and bagging paper goods for the New Trier Township Food Pantry and making no-sew fleece blankets for Shelter, Inc. in Arlington Heights.
Here is the link to register. In the past we have cut registration off at 40 participants. Thanks so much to everyone at WLC and we look forward to future partnerships.
